Transit Station Access Planning
KAI is a national expert on transit station access planning, including authoring TCRP Report 153 - Guidelines for Providing Access to Public Transportation Stations. We work with transit agencies to evaluate the complex trade-offs between station access decisions, and the costs and benefits associated with each. KAI has identified station-area improvements to leverage access potential by pedestrians and bicyclists, and works with agencies to capitalize on transit-oriented development potential.
