Zachary Bugg, Ph.D, PE
Zachary’s experience includes project work in the areas of transit planning, microsimulation analysis, roundabout design and operations, highway safety, and lane elimination/complete streets planning. His main research interests and publications are in the areas of highway capacity, operational effects of geometric design, and transit preferential treatments. Zachary is actively engaged in professional development and enjoys speaking at conferences and guest lectures, as well as mentoring interns and new staff. Prior to joining KAI, he served as a research and teaching assistant at the Institute for Transportation Research and Education at North Carolina State University. He is proficient in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Highway Capacity Software (HCS), R, SAS, SIDRA, Synchro, and VISSIM.
