Vasin (Tum) Kiattikomol, PhD

Vasin has over nine years of experience in transportation planning, and safety and traffic engineering. He received his doctoral degree in transportation engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and was a transportation researcher at the University of California, Davis. Vasin has been dedicated in areas of public mass transit systems, traffic operations, highway safety and crash analysis, freight transportation, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and geographic information systems (GIS). He also has substantial experience in statistical software, such as SAS and JMP, and a solid background in numerous transportation and traffic software programs, such as TransCAD, HCS, TRAFFIX, SYNCHRO/SimTraffic, CORSIM, and VISSIM. Vasin has been a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and ITE’s Freight Mobility Council.
