Airport Way Corridor and Signal Timing Study

KAI developed a vision and corridor solutions for the Airport Way corridor. Integral to the entire process was a comprehensive public involvement program that helped shape the vision, goals, evaluation criteria, and recommendations. The team conducted stakeholder interviews, public open house meetings, and various meetings with city and bureau officials to present finding and solicit input. The outcome of this work yielded functional layouts of three promising alternatives for the corridor, which balance the competing demands of local access and through trips along and across Airport Way for all modes of transportation. In addition, KAI developed and implemented signal timing plans for the Airport Way and Steese Expressway corridors.
