Basin Transit Transit Development Plan
KAI is working with Basin Transit Service (BTS) to update their Transit Development Plan (TDP). BTS is the public transit agency for the Klamath Falls Urban Area in southern Oregon. The Transit District has a service area of over 30 square miles and approximately 45,000 people. It serves the area with a combination of fixed route and demand responsive services. The updated TDP will outline a program of detailed service improvements for the ten year horizon. It will identify bus stops and facilities needs and outline a funding plan to fund anticipated operations and capital needs. The TDP will also include potential cost savings measures and a sequence of service reductions in the event of declining revenues. Much of the plan is being informed by advisory committee, driver, and transit user surveys as well as available ridership data.
