Eagle River Central Business District and Residential Core Study

KAI is working with the Eagle River community to develop cost-effective and implementable solutions that address access, circulation, safety, and multi-modal amenities, creating a robust and vibrant downtown core. The development of a complete, interconnected network of roadway, pedestrian/bicycle, and transit facilities is the primary technical task of this study. The project team examined the performance of the transportation system under a variety of scenarios that considered new links, improved parallel routes, modifications to intersections, and enhancements of the pedestrian, bicycle, and transit facilities. The resulting three Solution Strategies meet the needs for local and regional mobility and reliability, while creating a safer and more attractive place for pedestrians and increased opportunities for transit to meet the future travel needs of the community.
