Progress Quarry Mixed Use Development
KAI provided the overall transportation planning and traffic engineering services for the 104-acre Progress Quarry mixed-use town center development located in Beaverton, Oregon. The project entailed the master planning of the entire internal street network as well as a complete realignment of Barrows Road and the extension of Murray Boulevard. In addition, KAI was instrumental in identifying an overall comprehensive access management plan and designing the street lighting, traffic signal, and signing/striping elements of the project. KAI also facilitated the necessary transportation coordination efforts between the three affected transportation agencies (City of Beaverton, City of Tigard, and Washington County), and provided numerous presentations to the city's design review board and planning commission. In the end, KAI was responsible for identifying the impacts and necessary mitigation treatments necessary to accommodate over 700 residential units, 130,000 square-feet of office space, and 200,000 square-feet of retail space.
