Road 68 Corridor Study
KAI led a six-month effort to develop the Road 68 Corridor Study for the City of Pasco, Washington. The final report represents the culmination of a community based planning effort that identifies near-term, 5-year, and 5 to 20-year transportation infrastructure improvements necessary to meet existing and anticipated transportation demand within and through the corridor. The corridor planning process included an evaluation of existing and projected future conditions, an alternatives analysis, and improvement recommendations. The effort sought public engagement through four public open houses and included identification of detailed steps to improve multi-modal access. In addition to identifying intersection and connectivity improvements, the planning effort resulted in development of a detailed access management plan that sought to balance commercial and special event access needs with safety and through mobility. The plan was adopted in July 2012.
