Rosa Parks Blvd I-5 Signal
The City of Portland recently restriped N. Rosa Parks Way between N. Montana Avenue and N. Vancouver Avenue to provide bicycle lanes along this stretch of road, which includes the I-5 bridge. Adding bicycle lanes across the I-5 bridge required modifying the existing traffic signals at both I-5/Rosa Parks Way ramp terminal intersections and adding a new bicycle signal at the Rosa Parks/I-5 Southbound Ramp terminus. The City retained KAI to help redesign the I-5/Rosa Parks Way ramp terminal intersections to accommodate the striping changes. This project included preparing final traffic design plans (signal modification, detector modification, and interconnect) for construction. KAI worked closely with the City of Portland and ODOT throughout the design and construction phase to complete the project.
