Towson University Parking Garage

Towson University’s West Village is situated on the western portion of the 328-acre campus, at the southwestern corner of Towsontown Boulevard and Osler Drive. The University is expanding the site’s existing housing and parking facilities to serve the school’s growing enrollment. The expansion includes the construction of new residence halls, which will increase the number of student residents from 1,530 to 3,990 (an addition of approximately 2,460 beds); a commons area with classrooms, dining, and meeting areas with approximately 100 employees; a 1,500 car parking garage; and the demolition of the existing Enrollment Services Building.

As a subconsultant to Ayers/Saint/Gross, KAI completed a phased traffic impact assessment, signal warrant analysis, and full traffic signal design at the intersection of Towsontown Boulevard and Emerson Drive. The future traffic signal at this intersection will serve as the main entrance into the West Village development.
