Position Summary

In this role, you will be a member of our Creative Services Group which includes other graphic designers, GIS and data visualization specialists, and technical writers. You will be involved with the entire creative process as you collaborate and work with project teams to develop products for our clients and community partners. As a graphic designer at Kittelson, you will:

  • Create various designs for reports, flyers, logos, charts, vector icons, illustrated maps, and more.
  • Incorporate accessible designs that align with client needs and help us raise the bar in the profession.
  • Bring a service-oriented and problem-solving mindset to your work.
  • Be proactive and flexible, organizing your own work schedule around internal and external deadlines.

Note – applicants are required to be physically located in the United States and we are not interested in hiring third party consultants or independent freelancers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of progressive graphic design experience
  • Associate degree (or higher) in art, graphic design, or other related field or comparable work experience
  • Experience preparing highly graphical content (portfolio required)
  • Advanced skill in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Proficient skill in Microsoft Word
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects at a time and arranging your workload accordingly
  • Demonstrated self-management skills for both short and long-term projects
  • Experience working with teams, taking direction, and providing feedback
  • Exceptional creativity, curiosity, professionalism, and humility

  • An entrepreneurial and consulting spirit with motivation to serve internal and external clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships
  • Commitment to a high level of client service

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary and benefits that include comprehensive employer-paid health insurance, a generous paid-time-off program (in addition to parental leave), an outstanding retirement program, and a culture that seeks and values diversity.

The range for this position is $60,000-90,000, which is a combination of your base salary plus an employer-funded 401K retirement contribution. Position in this range is determined by candidate’s experience and location.

In addition, you will share in firmwide profits each year and earn an annual bonus. Kittelson also provides meaningful support for involvement in industry associations and/or conference participation, as well as the pursuit of professional licenses and certifications.
