Location: Orange Oakland

Kittelson is seeking a full-time marketing coordinator to lead proposal efforts and support overall marketing activities in our West region, focusing primarily on Southern California and Arizona markets.

Position Summary

This is an opportunity to join a team of thought leaders and entrepreneurs at a growing, values-driven transportation planning/engineering consulting firm. The ideal candidate, who will join either our Oakland or Orange office, has strong organizational, communication, and time management capabilities; works effectively with a variety of people; continually seeks to improve processes; is detailed oriented; and thrives in a non-structured environment.

In this role, you will work with a group of dynamic transportation and marketing professionals to support a variety of business development and marketing activities with a specific focus on project pursuits, proposals, and interviews. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Creating checklists, outlines and draft content in preparation for proposal development
  • Coordinating with internal and external staff on the development of proposals
  • Developing content to ensure that messaging, value proposition and skills/qualifications of the firm are tailored to the client and project
  • Laying out and producing proposals in InDesign or Word format
  • Light graphics development as needed (organizational charts, schedules, etc.)
  • Ensuring internal schedules are met for proposal/marketing deliverables
  • Updating our database (Deltek Vision) with staff resumes, projects and text libraries
  • Conducting research activities to support staff in identification of advanced leads/projects as well as to assist with capture planning for agencies, geographic and service areas, and pursuits

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of similar and relevant experience
  • College degree preferred, in a field commensurate with the position (e.g., English, communications, marketing)
