We’re passionate about the transportation industry—and we love sharing why!

Kittelson & Associates is excited visit universities this fall to talk about careers in transportation and 2020 internships.

Every year, we look forward to meeting future engineers, planners and other transportation professionals during our annual visits to schools across the country. Our staff views these visits as an excellent opportunity to meet prospective interns and employees, and to explain the dynamic impact a career in transportation has on communities across the world. If you’re a student who’s curious about the industry, we hope you’ll join us when we visit your school.

If you see your school on our schedule of visits for this year, here’s how to get the most benefit out of the experience.

Save the date . . . for yourself and others!

Mark the calendar for your school’s visit and encourage your classmates and friends to attend as well. If you’re planning on attending, we request that you formally RSVP on the schedule so we know how many students to expect and can tailor the session accordingly.

Check if we’re offering interviews at your school.

Some visits on our schedule include the opportunity to submit a resume, cover letter and work sample before we come. As a chance to meet with us one-on-one, we strongly encourage you to utilize this resource—giving us plenty of time to review beforehand to ensure our conversation is as meaningful as possible.

Review our approach to hiring.

The strength of Kittelson lies in our people, so we follow a unique process that takes time and care when considering new hires. We encourage you to learn about this process before we meet you in person, to help you decide if our firm is the right fit for you. You can also search recent Glassdoor reviews to shape your knowledge of what it means to work at Kittelson.

Bring specific questions.

We love them! Transportation is a fast-paced and multifaceted industry, and we want to help you find your fit—whether that be engineering, planning, policy, marketing or finance.

Keep in touch.

Request the contact information of the staff member you meet during the visit, and keep the conversation going. We also recommend receiving Kittelson’s email updates to stay informed when important events and deadlines approach (you’ll be placed on our email list when you RSVP for our visit).

Finally, if your school is not on our list of visits this year, we’d still love to hear from you! Along with hosting a webinar every fall to share career and internship opportunities, we accept internship applications through our website. Kittelson & Associates strongly values the contributions of interns, and takes time and care in structuring a program that provides these team members with mentorship and experience. We closely review all applications, so yours won’t be missed.

We look forward to meeting you soon!
