Alaa Mukahhal

A Chicago native, Alaa is a planner at the Boston office. She received her bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and master’s degree in city planning from M.I.T. She has most recently worked for the Boston Transportation Department where she developed transportation demand management policies, development review guidelines, and subsidized public transit pilot, among many other projects. She is most interested in the role of equity in multimodal planning. In her free time, Alaa enjoys hiking, kayaking, and is an avid video game player.
