For lack of a better pun, Brett has found a backroad (or maybe a roundabout way?) into the transportation industry: after graduating with an organizational management degree and playing baseball for his university in Oakland, CA, Brett went back to school to complete a master’s degree in transportation and urban systems at North Dakota State University. Upon joining Kittelson, Brett has had the opportunity to apply transportation planning and engineering principles on a variety of projects throughout the United States. His work experience includes alternative intersection analyses and design in both urban and rural settings, transportation planning for local pedestrian and bicycle facilities, highway safety and operation studies, and commercial and residential site development and circulation. Brett has also served as a designer for multiple roadway and intersection design projects, including roundabout design and reviews, as well as geometric and pavement design.
