Burak Cesme

Burak has over nine years of experience in transportation engineering working on a range of projects. His expertise includes traffic signal systems, microsimulation, operations of public transportation, urban transportation systems, and transportation research; he has over ten publications in various research journals. Burak has spent the past four years in the Mid-Atlantic region working as a transportation consultant on a variety of projects. In addition, he is an adjunct professor at George Mason University and is currently serving as the Washington, DC area director for the Washington, DC section of the ITE (WDCSITE).

Outside of work, Burak enjoys playing soccer, reading, traveling, cooking, and discovering new places in Washington DC.
