Carrie graduated from Walla Walla University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. She is drawn to transportation engineering because of the ability to design sustainably, enhance communities, and solve unique challenges. Carrie’s passion developed at a young age, when she focused her middle school science fair project on distracted drivers at stop signs. During college, she volunteered with Engineers Without Borders in India and ASCE. Carrie is enjoying working on a wide variety of transportation projects, with a growing interest in PedBike, GIS, final design, programming, and lighting. When she’s not in the office, Carrie explores the outdoors with skis, a climbing rope, or hiking boots. She also likes to travel, try local coffee shops, and hunt for the best podcasts.
