Senior Principal Engineer
Dave is a Virginia native and graduate of Virginia Tech with 36 years of experience in transportation engineering, planning, and project management. His expertise is in the areas of roadway safety improvements, corridor studies, traffic impact studies and review, traffic operations analyses, origin-destination studies, bridge research and project development, bridge construction permitting, pre-cast concrete segmental inspection, and numerous data collection studies. Dave also served as ITS Project Manager for Tallahassee, Florida’s, award-winning Regional Transportation Management Center. Having been heavily involved with the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) throughout his career, Dave has served on ITE’s International Steering and Advisory Committee during four editions of “Trip Generation” and has held all major officer positions in Florida, where he presently embraces his highly active senior mentor role as well as his role as partner to the Board.
Outside of his work life, Dave is an eight-year sponsored professional disc golf athlete representing the second-largest manufacturer in the world. He has played/placed in several world championships and other national, regional, and local tournaments. He even once traveled to north of Tokyo, Japan, for a major competition.
