James Rinehart is an experienced transportation/transit planner and GIS analyst with an extensive career working at or with Metropolitan Planning Organizations around the country. James has worked on LRTP updates, helped maintain Transportation Improvement Programs (TIP), and project managed transit plans, multimodal corridor studies, crash data analysis projects, and active transportation plan updates.
In addition, James has extensive experience planning and hosting public engagement events, which include autonomous vehicle summits, transit peer exchanges, virtual and in-person workshops, as well as developing public surveys and crowdsource maps. James has also presented on transit and Vision-Zero related projects for both the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency (TPA) at national and state-wide conferences. When James is not at work he enjoys bike riding, hiking, and camping with his wife, two sons and their dog.
