Kim is a recent graduate of Tufts University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an urban studies minor. At Tufts, she conducted multiple research projects on different ways civil and environmental engineering has impacted environmental justice communities and served as the ASCE student chapter president. Before joining Kittelson, Kim interned for a civil design firm and with MassDOT’s Highway Design section in Boston (twice!). Through these opportunities, she gained experience designing roadways and bicycle/pedestrian facilities. Kim hopes to expand her skillset at Kittelson by working on a variety of projects—from research and planning to design—while increasing accessibility, equity, and safety for communities. Outside of work, Kim enjoys trying new recipes and restaurants, making pottery, playing the piano, reading, exploring the city, and rock climbing.
