KAI staff has varied design experience in developing work zone traffic control, staging, and detour plans for freeways, bridges, suburban arterials, complex downtown environments, and special event planning in public rights-of-way. KAI also uses innovative technologies such as BluetoothTM and Dynamic Traffic Assessment (DTA) to assess real-time travel patterns and delays that feed into DTA modeling, critical to pre-planning an efficient and reliable construction traffic management plan. Through these efforts we can develop solutions and strategies to better manage traffic congestion during construction, allowing for streamlined construction staging, lane closure accommodations, and maximizing construction windows. These elements are all part of delivering productive and safe construction strategies with minimal impacts on those who rely on the right-of-way. KAI supports cleanup and repaving activities by designing the restoration of permanent traffic and parking signing, traffic signal loop detectors, and pavement striping.
