Jongwoo (Andy) Han

Andy earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, with a concentration in transportation and an additional major in engineering and public policy. During his time at CMU, he served in executive roles at the ASCE student chapter and the Transportation Club, leading initiatives and project work focused on crash data analysis, electric transit infrastructure, and climate-resilient design strategies. Andy’s professional interests lie at the intersection of technology and public policy, particularly in advancing connected and autonomous vehicles, battery electric vehicles, and V2X communication. He is passionate about exploring how emerging technologies can improve transportation safety, equity, and energy efficiency, especially in urban environments. Outside of work, Andy enjoys listening to music and playing outdoor sports. He recently picked up golf after moving to the West Coast, drawn in by the warmer weather.
