Angela Haddad, PhD

Engineering Associate (she/her)

Angela Haddad is a transportation researcher and analyst with expertise in travel behavior modeling, pedestrian safety, and advanced data analytics. She holds a Ph.D. in transportation engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, where she focused her work on how digital transformation and urban design influence activity and travel patterns. Angela’s research combined econometric modeling, spatial analytics, and data science to support data-driven decision-making in transportation planning and safety applications. She has led and contributed to projects for the Texas Department of Transportation  and the Center for Automated Vehicles Research with Multimodal AssurEd Navigation (CARMEN+ UTC), developing analytical tools and models to improve pedestrian safety and optimize transportation system performance.

Her technical expertise spans discrete choice and multivariate modeling, data visualization, and large-scale data integration using Python, GAUSS, and GIS. She has authored multiple research publications and presented her work at national and international conferences. Outside of work, Angela enjoys strength training, playing with her two cats, and exploring new restaurants.
