Catherine Suria
Transportation Analyst (she/her)

Catherine is a transportation engineer in training with experience in data analysis, federal project delivery, and equity-focused research. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Penn State University, where she studied post-pandemic mode choice shifts among transportation-disadvantaged individuals. She presented her thesis at the 2025 Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting. Before joining Kittelson, Catherine worked with the FHWA in Ohio, conducting systematic reviews of federally funded projects. She participated in site visits, reviewed NEPA documentation, contributed to ADA and tunnel inspections, and assisted in revising the 2025 Ohio supplement to the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Outside of work, Catherine enjoys exploring multi-use paths around her city by bike, kayaking local waterways, and hiking. She has logged over 1,000 miles on foot so far and continues to seek new trails and adventures.
