Christi Apicella

Christi has over 25 years of experience as an urban planner, transportation specialist, community engagement facilitator, and project manager in the federal, municipal, private, and non-profit sectors. Much of her career has been in leadership positions in transportation planning and engineering. She guided multi-disciplinary teams in completing high-priority, multimodal transportation programs and projects with municipalities, regional transit agencies, and Departments of Transportation throughout New England. Earlier in her career, she provided planning, development, and transportation support to 22 institutions in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area of Boston. Christi is also a former director in the City of Somerville, MA Office of Housing and Community Development. Outside of work, her favorite activities are summer adventures like boating and beaching along coastal New England with her husband, two teenage children, and laid-back dog. Christi makes her commute to Boston via MBTA Commuter Rail with a good cup of coffee.
