Katie Popp
Engineering Associate (She/Her)

Katie is passionate about advancing safe, multimodal, and resilient transportation systems through both planning and design. Her experience spans long-range transportation planning, community and corridor planning, safety action plans, and intersection and corridor design. She also conducts operational and safety analyses, evaluates intersection alternatives, and develops concepts that address the needs of pedestrians, bicyclists, transit users, and vehicles alike. With this combination of technical expertise and diverse design experience, Katie supports projects from early concept development through detailed evaluation and implementation. She works primarily on projects in urban and rural communities across Oregon, Washington, Montana, and Idaho, collaborating with local communities to develop context-sensitive solutions that reflect the unique needs, priorities, and character of each place. Outside of work, Katie spends as much time as she can outdoors, whether biking, running, hiking, camping, or exploring all the amazing food Portland has to offer!
