Kylie Caviness
Senior Engineer
Kylie developed a passion for creating safe and accessible communities while earning her bachelor’s degree in engineering from James Madison University. Kylie’s work experience is rooted in functional geometric design, with special focus on roundabouts, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, roadway reconfigurations, and innovative intersections. She has analyzed and developed multimodal designs for dozens of intersections and street segments along the East Coast, often as part of corridor planning and safety studies, roadway design projects, and modular or quick-build implementation projects. As a people person, Kylie provides a thoughtful, context-sensitive approach to working with clients, stakeholders, and the public. Outside of work, Kylie enjoys spending quality time with her family, playing music, and planning detailed travel itineraries for her next trip.
