Lauren Prunkl

Transportation Analyst (She/Her)

Bringing together her sustainability and planning background, Lauren enjoys engaging with local communities and finding ways to effectively visualize data through storytelling. Lauren joined Kittelson after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in city and regional planning. Passionate about the intersection of transportation, housing, and health, she was involved in research exploring barriers to medical transportation. She focused her master’s project on eviction data collection methods by interviewing individuals in the non-profit, public, and private spheres. Before graduate school, Lauren was a GIS analyst for projects in collaboration with nonprofits, philanthropies, and the local government in Greenville, South Carolina. She most recently gained experience in data visualization using R. When not working, Lauren enjoys trying out new recipes, exploring greenways by bike, and hosting game nights.
