Ruolin Zhang, PhD
Transportation Analyst (she/her)
Ruolin holds a Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign and a master’s degree from the University of Michigan. Her research centers sustainable transportation system planning and optimization, with projects that span electric vehicle charging in multi-unit dwellings, shared parking management, freight electrification, and curbside charging planning. She brings expertise in data analytics, geospatial analysis, and optimization modeling. She is particularly passionate about advancing sustainable, resilient, and equitable transportation solutions that meet the needs of diverse communities. Outside of work, Ruolin enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, watching soccer, and running.
