Sam helps communities design their spaces for people. His experience spans multimodal planning and design, corridor and small-area studies, safety analysis, roundabouts, traffic calming, quick-build projects, long-range planning, land use, public engagement, and national research. Drawing on public and private sector experience, Sam combines technical analysis with community insight to develop context-sensitive solutions. He has led projects from planning through design, translating data, stakeholder priorities, and implementation constraints into clear recommendations that help clients advance safer, more connected transportation systems and create welcoming places for people of all ages and abilities. Outside of work, Sam can be found biking, reading history, or cheering on his beloved Crimson Tide with his wife and daughter.
