Wende has been working with multi-disciplinary engineering, architectural, and construction teams in Alaska for more than two decades. She specializes in project delivery with an emphasis on achieving client goals through strategic and collaborative problem solving. Her management skills have been instrumental in delivering multi-modal transportation plans and collector roadway projects; land use and university master plans; public and private development site plans; entitlement and code studies and associated permit approvals; NEPA documents; a new library in Wasilla, AK; and museum exhibits for the State Library, Archives, and Museum in Juneau. She is well-regarded for her facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels – from private individuals and boards and commissions to government representatives. Little known facts about Wende are that she is a certified K-3 Montessori teacher, served two years in the Peace Corps in Chad, Africa, and grew up on a ranch in Spokane, WA. In her free time, she loves to travel, hike, read, and break bread with friends.
