Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer/Solutions Architect to join our team and drive cloud transformation initiatives. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with architectural design to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This position will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Azure cloud solutions and architecture patterns
  • Lead migrations from on-premises infrastructure and other cloud providers to Azure
  • Develop and maintain integrations with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments
  • Build cloud-native applications, integrations, and automation tooling
  • Manage and optimize web application hosting solutions on Azure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across all cloud implementations
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5 or more years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or solutions architecture
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Certification: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) Certification
  • Azure Expertise: Strong proficiency with Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and security
  • Integration Experience: Proven experience integrating with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environments
  • Migration Skills: Experience planning and executing migrations from on-premises and other cloud platforms to Azure
  • Development: Ability to build cloud-native integrations and automation tooling
  • Web Hosting: Experience with web application hosting, deployment, and management on Azure
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in or experience with transportation industry solutions and challenges
  • Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Azure Developer)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep)
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Instances)
  • Experience with PowerBI, Logic Apps, or Power Platform

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Azure Active Directory and identity management
  • Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
  • PowerShell, ARM templates, or Terraform
  • Networking concepts and Azure networking services
  • Security and compliance frameworks
  • Database technologies (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Postgres)

Compensation and Benefits

The range for this position is $100,000-130,000, which is a combination of your base salary plus an employer-funded 401K retirement contribution (no match required and no vesting period). Position in this range is determined by candidate’s experience and location.
