Matt Braughton
Associate Planner (he/him)

Matt is a certified road safety professional and is a multimodal planner who enjoys working with cities, regions, and states to better integrate transportation networks with the surrounding land uses. He works closely with jurisdictions to help plan, prioritize, and implement multimodal and safety improvements to their transportation systems. Matt is also one of Kittelson’s data “wonks”. He’s passionate about data analysis and findings ways to synthesize big datasets into unique approaches to develop priority projects and design solutions tailored to the project’s context. Matt enjoys working across the full spectrum of communities, from the small town and unincorporated rural communities he grew up in to the complex transportation networks of urban cores.
When not working, Matt can be found exploring California’s national forests and wildernesses, nose deep in a book, or puttering around Sacramento on his bike.
