Nick graduated from Portland State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. While attending Portland State, Nick had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of downtown Portland transportation first hand while working as a valet attendant at a few different hotels.
Prior to Kittelson, Nick worked at another firm in the Portland area, focusing on public roadway design. With four years of experience, Nick has been involved in numerous large-scale design projects in the state of Oregon that focus on transportation, drainage, water quality, and bicycle/pedestrian improvements. Nick has also been involved with APWA, most recently giving a presentation on pedestrian routing during construction at the 2018 Fall APWA conference. As of March 2019, Nick is a newly licensed engineer in the state of Oregon.
