Tyler O’Ferrell

With nearly a decade of experience as a traffic engineer, Tyler works to improve safety and operations for all modes of travel. He graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and began his professional career in water resources before finding his passion in transportation. Working on transportation and traffic projects in both the private and public sectors gave him a thorough understanding of the processes it takes to get a project from idea to completion. Tyler has experience with active transportation planning and design, traffic impact analyses, public engagement, land use planning, and corridor studies. He published a white paper centered around how traffic patterns changed over 20 years with a large, mixed-use district redevelopment in Raleigh, NC, leading to several presentations at annual ITE meetings. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys traveling, video games, cycling, being outdoors, playing/watching sports, and exploring all that Washington, DC has to offer.
