Ian approaches all of Kittelson’s publications as a storyteller, working with project teams to articulate the human import of transportation alongside its technical reality. Ian holds a master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and has previously worked as a writing consultant, a copy editor, and an adjunct professor. He draws on each of these experiences to ground Kittelson’s written materials in the principles of efficiency, clarity, and accessibility, and specializes in tailoring copy to different reader audiences. In his free time, Ian enjoys writing essays and short stories, reading, hiking his way through his new home state of Oregon, and playing with his dog.
