Challenge

To address greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) launched the NY Clean Transportation Prizes which funds projects aimed at overcoming persistent transportation challenges and expanding access to clean, electrified transportation solutions in disadvantaged communities.

Solution

Kittelson provided technical and programmatic assistance to prize participants developing on-demand transit plans. We worked closely with awardees to refine their deployment assessments, improve their analysis and evaluation plans, and help their initiatives align with best practices in clean transportation implementation. Drawing on our expertise in research development, policy evaluation, and program assessment, we guided participants through key steps in designing sustainable and scalable transit solutions.
